Well It’s not as crazy as it sounds There will be PS4 launched by Sony according to Sony’s vp of technology said member of forum Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, kiyuki.

Design Revolution, we know every version of sony always have different design but I think for this PS4 Concept Design really sexy one!

According to kiyuki, it’s too soon to be speaking of the PS4, since game developers are just discovering that the PS3 has “more processing headroom than they initially anticipated and that this was resulting in the development of new gaming capabilities.”

What about these “new gaming capabilities?”

kiyuki said that Sony plans to release a series of firmware upgrades, as the company has done with its PSP, to enable the PS3 to become more media center oriented and allow for third-party applications and hardware “such as interactive controllers” like the Nintendo Wii remote.

Have you ever felt that the PS3 controllers werent as good as the Xbox 360s and always wanted to play Call of Duty using the precise analog sticks of the Xbox 360 controller?

Well now you can!

A company called XCM has announced a new adaptor which will allow the crossover conversion to enable you to use a 360 controller on the PS3. The 360 controllers are renowned for their trigger buttons and I personally think this could enhance certain gameplay controllers, especially FPS games.

The XCM Cross Battle Adapter is a USB device which plugs straight into your PS3 and then all you need to do it pop your 360 controller into the adapter and away you go!! You can also go Old Skool with the adapter as it has the added bonus ofrapid fire! Choose the button of your choice of whip Call of Duty: World at War or Call of Duty: Modern Warfare into your PS3 and set your M1 Grand or Desert Eagle to rapid fire and watch your enemies cower at your knees.

Price at $39.99 may seem a little steep, especially is you have to buy a wired Xbox 360 controller on top. But do you think this is something that youre going to buy or take advantage of? Or is this just a gimmick that will just end up being confusing with button configuration?

When I had the original XBox, I did prefer the controllers to the PS2 and would prefer to be using the Xbox 360 controller for FPS games on my PS3.

Let us know your views. Are you happy with the PS3 controllers or do you prefer the Xbox 360 controllers?

The new Nintendo DSi and Sonys PSP 3000 are set to start a new handheld war. This will be the 3rd versions of their handhelds!!!

Both are retailed at 149.99 with the Sony PSP 3000 release date being 6th March 2009 and the Nintendo DSi release date a month later on 3rd April 2009.

But I cant see Sony outselling Nintendo on the handheld front. The PSP is more on the media side as there are only a handful of PSP exclusive games on the market and lets face it, theyre not the best games.

Whereas, Nintendo bring out some of the best games across all formats on the DS. I have both and feel Sony really need to push the PSP 3000 and bring out some great exclusive games.

The DSi has a few new features, which have been a little controversial to some people. These changes being:

Slimmer than the DS by 12%

Bigger screens

Two cameras, but only 0.3 megapixels. Hardly groundbreaking, but I suppose good enough for the DSi

Web browser

Download games using DSWare using Wii Points

SD memory card slot which has controversially replaced the GBA slot. (Guitar Hero players miss out big time)

Better audio with improved speakers.

..and errra longer stylus by 4.5mm?????

The PSP 3000 on the other hand has very few changes, with only a built in speaker and better screen. The speaker is for people who use Go! Messenger or Skype, but I thought the PSP was meant to be a games handheld. Obviously not, its just becoming a media centre.

You can get the DSi in either Black or White and the PSP in silver, white or red.
I dont think Ill be rushing out anytime soon to bag either of them as Im quite content with the versions I have at the minute.

What are your views on this? Just another ploy to make money? Or do these represent necessary improvements?

Sony portables PSP has stolen the spot light for fast few months now with uprising rumors on major hardware redesign with claims on ditching the systems UMD drive, addition of a second analog stick and sliding form factor. And likewise all of our speculations and cravings will be answer yet by June, with probable Sony unveiling their new redesigned PSP at this years E3 conference.

The rumored updates are mainly tagged by speculations to be PSP 2 and PSP-4000, but according to 1UPs sources Sony will settle on subtitle than a numerical moniker. PSP Slide, PSP Flip, and PSP Go! are few of the rumored codenames for the said project with a big possibilities on Sony settling on PSP Go! with its previous release of PSP add-ons with branding of Go!(the Go!View video on-demand service and 1.3 megapixel Go!Cam).
